Privacy policy

How Kreative Studios looks after your personal information.

Who we are

Kreative Studios is owned and operated by Kreative Audio (“we”, “us”). We're responsible for the personal information you give us through this website, and we handle it in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. For anything about your data, email hello@kreativeaudio.co.uk.

What we collect

  • When you book a session or order a mix: your name, artist name, email address and mobile number; for mobile sessions, the address we're coming to; what the session or mix is for, links to your files, your notes, files you upload and messages you send us.
  • When you send an enquiry: the details you put in the form.
  • Payments: you pay through Square, and we never see or store your card details. We keep a record of each transaction: what you paid for, how much, when, and the name and email on the invoice.
  • On your device: the site remembers your booking references in your browser so you can track them; they stay on your device. We don't use advertising or analytics cookies.

How we use it

  • To take, manage and deliver your booking or mix, and keep you updated by email and text. This is needed to carry out our contract with you.
  • To reply to your enquiry, as you've asked us to.
  • To keep financial records, because UK law requires it.
  • To email you the odd deal or bit of studio news, only if you ticked the box asking for them when you booked or ordered. This is based on your consent. Every one has an unsubscribe link, and you can also just reply and ask.

We never sell your information. If you unsubscribe, we keep a scrambled (hashed) version of your email address, which can't be turned back into the address, so we never send you deals again, even if you book with us later.

Who we share it with

Only the services that run this website and our booking process, under contract and only to provide those services:

  • Square: bookings, invoices and payments
  • Twilio: text messages
  • Resend: emails
  • Cloudflare: storage for booking records, messages and files
  • Vercel: website hosting

Where any of them process data outside the UK, the transfer is protected by safeguards approved under UK law.

How long we keep it

  • Personal information (your contact details, project details, messages and files): 30 days after your session or mix is finished, or after a request that didn't go ahead. That gives us time to answer questions, re-send files and sort out anything that comes up. After that it's deleted automatically, and that includes our deals list.
  • Financial information (invoices and transaction records, including your name and what you paid): 6 years, as UK law requires for tax purposes.
  • Our providers keep some technical records, such as message delivery logs, for limited periods under their own policies.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it sooner, restrict or object to how we use it, or give you a copy to take elsewhere. Email hello@kreativeaudio.co.uk and we'll reply within one month. Financial records the law requires us to keep can't be deleted early.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Keeping it safe

Everything is sent over encrypted connections, only the studio owner can see booking records, and the private links we send you (for messages, your mix dashboard and downloads) are unique to you and expire.

Changes

If we change this policy we'll update this page and the date below. See also our terms & conditions.
